NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase contains 2 non-identical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signalling pathway. The activity of this protein has been implicated in controlling cell growth and differentiation. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
RSK3: an AGC kinase of the RSK family. Phosphorylated and activated by Erk1 and -2 in response to many growth factors, polypeptide hormones and neurotransmitters. Several phosphorylation sites are important for its activation. Possesses two kinase domains connected by a regulator linker region. Phosphorylates a wide range of substrates including ribosomal protein S6.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RSK3, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
