Freezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
Related Product Information for anti-RORC antibody
Retinoic acid-related Orphan Receptor gamma (RORg, TOR, RORC; NR1F3) is a member of the orphan nuclear receptor family. RORg is expressed in the muscle, thymus, testis, pancreas, prostate, heart, and liver. RORg plays a role in thymocyte development and homeostasis. RORs bind to DNA as monomers on half-site elements with 5' A/T-rich extensions. An N-terminal isoform of RORg, RORgt, has been shown to be specifically expressed in the thymus. By direct ELISA, R1183-30G has been shown to specifically recognize the RORyt isoform, and not RORC.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA-binding transcription factor and is a member of the NR1 subfamily of nuclear hormone receptors. The specific functions of this protein are not known; however, studies of a similar gene in mice have shown that this gene may be essential for lymphoid organogenesis and may play an important regulatory role in thymopoiesis. In addition, studies in mice suggest that the protein encoded by this gene may inhibit the expression of Fas ligand and IL2. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

RORC: Possible nuclear receptor for hydroxycholesterols, the binding of which strongly promotes coactivators recruitment. Essential for thymopoiesis and the development of several secondary lymphoid tissues, including lymph nodes. Involved in lineage specification of uncommitted CD4(+) T-helper cells into Th17 cells. Regulate the expression of several components of the circadian clock. Belongs to the nuclear hormone receptor family. NR1 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transcription factor; DNA-binding; Nuclear receptor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; ligand-dependent nuclear receptor activity; DNA binding; zinc ion binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; oxysterol binding; steroid hormone receptor activity; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: Peyer's patch development; transcription initiation from RNA polymerase II promoter; intracellular receptor-mediated signaling pathway; regulation of fat cell differentiation; T-helper cell differentiation; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; T cell differentiation in the thymus; positive regulation of circadian rhythm; protein amino acid phosphorylation; regulation of gamma-delta T cell differentiation; lymph node development; xenobiotic metabolic process; regulation of steroid metabolic process; steroid hormone mediated signaling; gene expression; circadian regulation of gene expression

Product Notes

The RORC rorc (Catalog #AAA631919) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RORC (Nuclear Receptor ROR-gamma, Nuclear Receptor RZR-gamma, Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 1 Group F Member 3, Retinoid-related Orphan Receptor-gamma, NR1F3, RORG, RZRG) (APC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RORC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RORC rorc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RORC, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
