Related Product Information for anti-PP2Ac antibody
Protein phosphatase 2A alpha (PPP2CA), is a PP2A type serine/threonine phosphatase. PP2A members are composed of a common heterodimeric core enzyme (a catalytic subunit C and a constant regulatory subunit PR65 or A) that associates with a wide variety of regulatory subunits (subunit B). PPP2CA is a catalytic subunit that plays a role in transcription, translation, cell cycle control, and the regulation of most major metabolic pathways.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the phosphatase 2A catalytic subunit. Protein phosphatase 2A is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases, and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. This gene encodes an alpha isoform of the catalytic subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PPP2CA: ubiquitous cytosolic Ser/Thr protein phosphatase, catalytic subunit. The holoenzyme consists of a 36 kDa catalytic subunit (subunit C) and a 65 kDa constant regulatory subunit (PR65 or subunit A), that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. Proteins that associate with the core dimer include three families of regulatory subunits B (the R2/B/PR55/B55, R3/B'/PR72/PR130/PR59 and R5/B'/B56 families), the 48 kDa variable regulatory subunit, viral proteins, and cell signaling molecules.

After incubation with the primary anti.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PP2Ac ppp2ca for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PP2Ac / PPP2CA, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
