Related Product Information for anti-PLXNA1 antibody
Plexin-A1 is an 1894 amino acid, 200kD type I transmembrane protein that is a member of the Plexin family of semaphorin signal transducers. Plexin-A1 binds the transmembrane Sema6D directly and binds the Class 3 secreted semaphorins indirectly via neuropilin-1 and 2. It mediates cytoskeletal remodeling that results in cell migration and axon repulsion. In the region used as an immunogen, mouse and human Plexin A1 share 97% amino acid identity.

Uniprot Description

PLXNA1: Coreceptor for SEMA3A, SEMA3C, SEMA3F and SEMA6D. Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, invasive growth and cell migration. Class 3 semaphorins bind to a complex composed of a neuropilin and a plexin. The plexin modulates the affinity of the complex for specific semaphorins, and its cytoplasmic domain is required for the activation of down- stream signaling events in the cytoplasm. Interacts directly with NRP1 and NRP2. Interacts with FARP2, RND1 and KDR/VEGFR2. Binding of SEMA3A leads to dissociation of FARP2. Detected in fetal brain, lung, liver and kidney. Belongs to the plexin family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q21.3

Product Notes

The PLXNA1 plxna1 (Catalog #AAA600609) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Plexin A1 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Plexin A1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLXNA1 plxna1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Plexin A1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
