Related Product Information for anti-PTPRZ1 antibody
Phosphacan is a soluble nervous tissue-specific proteoglycan that is thought to regulate axonal outgrowth. It is synthesized by glia. It inds to neurons and to the neural cell adhesion molecules tenascin, N-CAM or NG-CAM. It does not bind to laminin and fibronectin. Phosphacan acts as a potent inhibitor of cell adhesion and neurite outgrowth.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase family. Expression of this gene is restricted to the central nervous system (CNS), and it may be involved in the regulation of specific developmental processes in the CNS. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2011]

Uniprot Description

PTPRZ1: May be involved in the regulation of specific developmental processes in the CNS. Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Receptor class 5 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PTPRZ1 ptprz1 (Catalog #AAA602167) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phosphacan (Receptor Tyrosine Phosphatase beta) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Phosphacan can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 1:10 Immunohistochemistry (4% Paraformaldehyde fixed): 1:1000 Western Blot: Recognizes bands at 250, 190 and 180kD from embryonic rat brain extracts. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PTPRZ1 ptprz1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phosphacan, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
