Related Product Information for anti-PD1 antibody
The humanized monoclonal anti-PD1 antibody can effectively block the combination between PDL1 and PD1, and will not cause HAMA reaction (anti mouse antibody response). Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) (UniProt Q15116), is a type I single transmembrane protein encoded by the PDCD1 gene in human. T-cell activation is generally self-limited as activated T cells express receptors such as PD-1. Maintenance of peripheral tolerance by preventing the development of autoimmunity due to T lymphocytes specific for self-antigens is essential for homeostasis of the immune system. PD-1 can bind two different but related ligands, PDL-1 and PDL-2.PD-1 receptor and its ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2play a vital role in the induction and maintenance of peripheral tolerance. The humanized monoclonal anti-PD1 antibody has demonstrated durable antitumor activity.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a cell surface membrane protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is expressed in pro-B-cells and is thought to play a role in their differentiation. In mice, expression of this gene is induced in the thymus when anti-CD3 antibodies are injected and large numbers of thymocytes undergo apoptosis. Mice deficient for this gene bred on a BALB/c background developed dilated cardiomyopathy and died from congestive heart failure. These studies suggest that this gene product may also be important in T cell function and contribute to the prevention of autoimmune diseases. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Inhibitory cell surface receptor involved in the regulation of T-cell function during immunity and tolerance. Upon ligand binding, inhibits T-cell effector functions in an antigen-specific manner. Possible cell death inducer, in association with other factors.

Product Notes

The PD1 pdcd1 (Catalog #AAA3000291) is an Antibody produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PD1 Monoclonal Antibody (Humanized) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PD1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Neutralization, Block. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PD1 pdcd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PD1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
