NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
CBP and p300 are large nuclear proteins that bind to many sequence-specific factors involved in cell growth and/or differentiation, including c-jun and the adenoviral oncoprotein E1A. The protein encoded by this gene associates with p300/CBP. It has in vitro and in vivo binding activity with CBP and p300, and competes with E1A for binding sites in p300/CBP. It has histone acetyl transferase activity with core histones and nucleosome core particles, indicating that this protein plays a direct role in transcriptional regulation. Product Notes
The PCAF (Catalog #AAA6148695) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PCAF (KAT2B, PCAF, Histone Acetyltransferase KAT2B, Histone Acetyltransferase PCAF, Lysine Acetyltransferase 2B, P300/CBP-associated Factor, GCN5, GCN5L) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PCAF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PCAF for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PCAF, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
