Application Notes
Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:5000-1:20,000 detects NY-ESO-1 protein in RIPA lysates from SKMEL-19 cells. SKMEL-19 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with N8590 (1:20,000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher.
Immunogen
NY-ESO-1 full-length recombinant protein
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Uniprot Description

CTAG1B: is an antigen that is overexpressed in many cancers but that is also expressed in normal testis. This gene is found in a duplicated region of the X-chromosome and therefore has a neighboring gene of identical sequence. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]

Protein type: Cancer Testis Antigen (CTA)

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq28

Cellular Component: cytoplasm

Product Notes

The NY-ESO-1 ctag1a (Catalog #AAA600758) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NY-ESO-1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NY-ESO-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NY-ESO-1 ctag1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NY-ESO-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
