Related Product Information for anti-NOTCH1 antibody
Members of the Notch trans-membrane protein family share structural characteristics including an extracellular domain consisting of multiple epidermal growth factor-like (EGF) repeats, and an intracellular domain consisting of multiple, different domain types. The Notch signaling network is an intercellular signaling pathway that regulates interactions between physically adjacent cells. The Notch1 protein is cleaved in the trans-Golgi network, and presented on the cell surface as a heterodimer. It functions as a receptor for membrane bound ligands, and may play multiple roles during development. There is evidence that activated Notch 1 and Notch 3 promot differentiation of progenitor cells into astroglia. Notch 1, activated before birth, induces radial glia differentiation, but postnatally induces the differentiation into astrocytes.

NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the NOTCH family of proteins. Members of this Type I transmembrane protein family share structural characteristics including an extracellular domain consisting of multiple epidermal growth factor-like (EGF) repeats, and an intracellular domain consisting of multiple different domain types. Notch signaling is an evolutionarily conserved intercellular signaling pathway that regulates interactions between physically adjacent cells through binding of Notch family receptors to their cognate ligands. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed in the trans-Golgi network to generate two polypeptide chains that heterodimerize to form the mature cell-surface receptor. This receptor plays a role in the development of numerous cell and tissue types. Mutations in this gene are associated with aortic valve disease, Adams-Oliver syndrome, T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Product Notes
The NOTCH1 notch1 (Catalog #
AAA190928) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Notch1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot (IB). Immunoblotting: Use at 1ug/ml. Bands of >270kDa, ~120kDa, and smaller fragments (due to proteolysis) are detected. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NOTCH1 notch1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Notch1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
