Related Product Information for anti-Nitrotyrosine antibody
Nitrotyrosine is a marker for inflammation and nitric oxide (NO) production and is formed in the presence of the active metabolite NO. While multiple nonenzymatic mechanisms are known to be capable of producing nitrated tyrosine residues, most tyrosine nitration events involve catalysis by metalloproteins such as myeloperoxidase, eosinophilperoxidase, myoglobin, the cytochrome P-450s, superoxide dismutase, and prostacyclin synthase. Because nitrotyrosine is a stable product of multiple pathways, such as the formation of peroxynitrite, its plasma concentration may be a useful determinant of NO-dependent damage in vivo. Nitrotyrosine has been detected in inflammatory diseases such as septic shock, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, atherosclerosis, and chronic renal failure.

Product Notes

The Nitrotyrosine (Catalog #AAA190493) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Nitrotyrosine can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation. Immunoblotting: use at 0.2-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: use at 1-5ug/ml. Immunoprecipitation: use 1-2ug per 100-500ug total protein. These are recommended concentrations. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application. Positive control: Rat brain tissue extract or nitrated BSA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Nitrotyrosine for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Nitrotyrosine, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
