Rat anti-Mouse Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule L1 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-L1CAM antibody
Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule L1 (L1CAM, L1 cell adhesion molecule, CAML1, CD171, HSAS, HSAS1, MASA, MIC5, N-CAML1, N-CAM L1, S10, SPG1) (PE)
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1-2.5x10e5 cells. Validated using mouse splenocytes.
Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. Cells may be Fc-blocked with 1ug of mouse IgG/10e5 cells for 15 minutes at RT. Do not wash excess blocking IgG from this reaction.
2. After blocking, add 10ul of L0010-07 to 1-2.5x10e5 cells and incubate for 30 minutes at RT.
3. Remove unbound antibody by washing the cells twice in Flow Cytometry Staining Buffer (F4568-10). Note that whole blood requires a RBC lysis step at this point using Flow Cytometry Mouse Lyse Buffer.
4. Resuspend the cells in Flow Cytometry Staining Buffer for analysis by flow cytometry. As a control for this analysis, cells in a separate tube should be treated with PE-labeled rat IgG2a antibody.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is an axonal glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin supergene family. The ectodomain, consisting of several immunoglobulin-like domains and fibronectin-like repeats (type III), is linked via a single transmembrane sequence to a conserved cytoplasmic domain. This cell adhesion molecule plays an important role in nervous system development, including neuronal migration and differentiation. Mutations in the gene cause three X-linked neurological syndromes known by the acronym CRASH (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia and hydrocephalus). Alternative splicing of a neuron-specific exon is thought to be functionally relevant. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description
NCAM-L1: cell adhesion molecule with an important role in the development of the nervous system. Involved in neuron-neuron adhesion, neurite fasciculation, outgrowth of neurites, etc. Binds to axonin on neurons. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The L1CAM (Catalog #AAA608049) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule L1 (L1CAM, L1 cell adhesion molecule, CAML1, CD171, HSAS, HSAS1, MASA, MIC5, N-CAML1, N-CAM L1, S10, SPG1) (PE) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule L1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1-2.5x10e5 cells. Validated using mouse splenocytes. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. Cells may be Fc-blocked with 1ug of mouse IgG/10e5 cells for 15 minutes at RT. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the L1CAM for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule L1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
