Related Product Information for anti-MYH1 antibody
Muscle myosin is a hexameric protein that consists of 2 heavy chain subunits (MHC), 2 alkali light chain subunits (MLC) and 2 regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2). Cardiac MHC exists as two isoforms in humans, alpha-cardiac MHC and beta-cardiac MHC. These two isoforms are expressed in different amounts in the human heart. During normal physiology, beta-cardiac MHC is the predominant form, with the alpha-isoform contributing around only 7% of the total MHC. Mutations of the MHC genes are associated with several different dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathies.

NCBI Description

Myosin is a major contractile protein which converts chemical energy into mechanical energy through the hydrolysis of ATP. Myosin is a hexameric protein composed of a pair of myosin heavy chains (MYH) and two pairs of nonidentical light chains. Myosin heavy chains are encoded by a multigene family. In mammals at least 10 different myosin heavy chain (MYH) isoforms have been described from striated, smooth, and nonmuscle cells. These isoforms show expression that is spatially and temporally regulated during development. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The MYH1 myh1 (Catalog #AAA8808522) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Myosin Heavy Chain Mouse mAb reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Fruit Fly, Nematode and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Myosin Heavy Chain can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC: 1:200 IF: 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MYH1 myh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Myosin Heavy Chain, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
