Biological Significance
Lipoprotein receptor-related proteins are a group of human proteins. A strong immunohistochemical reaction is seen in hepatocytes, tissue macrophages, subsets of neurones and astrocytes in the central nervous system, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and monocyte-derived foam cells in atherosclerotic lesions in the arterial wall. The antibody can also be used for the characterization of a subset of myelomonocytic subtypes of chronic and acute leukemia (CD 91).
Cross-Reactivity
This antibody reacts with the 515 kDa a-chain of the human LRP/a2MR which is expressed in a restricted spectrum of cell types
Immunogen
LRP antibody (515 kDa) was raised in mouse using human LRP/a2MR as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles

MVP: Required for normal vault structure. Vaults are multi- subunit structures that may act as scaffolds for proteins involved in signal transduction. Vaults may also play a role in nucleo- cytoplasmic transport. Down-regulates INFG-mediated STAT1 signaling and subsequent activation of JAK. Down-regulates SRC activity and signaling through MAP kinases.

Product Notes

The LRP mvp (Catalog #AAA531812) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LRP antibody (515 kDa) reacts with This antibody reacts with the 515 kDa a-chain of the Human LRP/a2MR which is expressed in a restricted spectrum of cell types and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LRP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:20. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LRP mvp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LRP, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
