Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-LRPAP1 antibody
The low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-associated protein 1 (LRPAP1/RAP) is an antagonist and molecular chaperone protein that binds tightly to low-density lipoprotein receptor family members and thereby prevents the binding of all known ligands, including alpha 2-macroglobulin and chylomicron remnants. RAP is present on the cell surface where it is an effective inhibitor of ligand binding to the kidney glycoprotein 330 (gp330), but is most abundant in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and may function in receptor folding and/or trafficking.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein that interacts with the low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-related protein and facilitates its proper folding and localization by preventing the binding of ligands. Mutations in this gene have been identified in individuals with myopia 23. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]

Uniprot Description

LRPAP1: Interacts with LRP1/alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor and glycoprotein 330. In complex with the alpha-2-MR or gp330, it may have some role in the pathogenesis of membrane glomerular nephritis. Belongs to the alpha-2-MRAP family.

Product Notes

The LRPAP1 lrpap1 (Catalog #AAA608790) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Lipoprotein Receptor-related Protein Associated Protein 1, Low Density (Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor-related Protein Associated Protein 1, LRPAP1, Alpha-2-macroglobulin Receptor-associated Protein, Alpha-2-MRAP, A2MRAP, A2RAP, HBP44, Lipoprotein Recep reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Lipoprotein Receptor-related Protein Associated Protein 1, Low Density can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LRPAP1 lrpap1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipoprotein Receptor-related Protein Associated Protein 1, Low Density, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
