Related Product Information for anti-JAM2 antibody
JAM2, also known as CD322, belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily, and the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family. JAM2 is a type I membrane protein that is localized at the tight junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells. It acts as an adhesive ligand for interacting with a variety of immune cell types, and may play a role in lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily, and the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family. The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein that is localized at the tight junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells. It acts as an adhesive ligand for interacting with a variety of immune cell types, and may play a role in lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]

Uniprot Description

May play a role in the processes of lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs.

Product Notes

The JAM2 jam2 (Catalog #AAA206622) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The JAM2 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's JAM2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the JAM2 jam2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "JAM2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
