Related Product Information for anti-SERPINE1 antibody
Inhibitory monoclonal antibody to human and mouse PAI-1. It binds to an epitope localized to the F-Helix of PAI-1. The PAI-1/mab complex becomes a substrate rather than an inhibitor of its target proteinases tPA and urokinase. Currently being studied as a potential therapeutic agent in animal models. Purified by immobilized Protein A. IgG1 class.

NCBI Description

mediates inhibition of fibrinolysis by inhibiting the activity of plasminogen activator; may promote neuronal survival [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

SERPINE1: a secreted protein that acts as 'bait' for tissue plasminogen activator, urokinase, and protein C. Its rapid interaction with TPA may function as a major control point in the regulation of fibrinolysis. Belongs to the serpin family. Interacts with VTN. Binds LRP1B; binding is followed by internalization and degradation. Plasma levels of PAI-1 and VCAM-1 together may be useful in predicting post-operative recurrence in patients with colorectal cancer.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity; protease binding; receptor binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of blood coagulation; wound healing; response to lipopolysaccharide; positive regulation of coagulation; decidualization; negative regulation of smooth muscle cell migration; glucose homeostasis; defense response to Gram-negative bacterium; mast cell activation; positive regulation of receptor-mediated endocytosis; positive regulation of interleukin-8 production; positive regulation of fibroblast proliferation; negative regulation of fibrinolysis; tissue regeneration; angiogenesis; regulation of receptor activity; chronological cell aging; negative regulation of cell adhesion mediated by integrin; negative regulation of cell migration; female gonad development; negative regulation of proteolysis; positive regulation of keratinocyte migration; regulation of angiogenesis; regulation of cell proliferation; response to starvation; response to reactive oxygen species; positive regulation of angiogenesis; response to hyperoxia; cellular response to insulin stimulus; response to estrogen stimulus; response to cytokine stimulus; positive regulation of inflammatory response

Product Notes

The SERPINE1 serpine1 (Catalog #AAA135015) is an Antibody produced from Host: Mouse; Source: Hybridoma cell culture and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Inhibitory mouse monoclonal to rat PAI-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Capture, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P), Neutralization Assay (Neut), Inhibitor. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SERPINE1 serpine1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Inhibitory mouse monoclonal to rat PAI-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
