rhPM-1
Specificity
Monoclonal antibody to detect IL6R. Tocilizumab binds specifically to both the membrane bound and soluble forms of human IL-6R. The IL6 receptor is a protein complex consisting of an IL-6 receptor subunit (IL6R) and interleukin 6 signal transducer Glycoprotein 130. Interleukin 6 (IL6) is a potent pleiotropic cytokine that regulates cell growth and differentiation and plays an important role in immune response.

Colorless liquid. In PBS only
Applicable Applications for anti-IL6R antibody
ELISA (EIA), Inhibition assay
Antibody Type
Recombinant Antibody
Immunogen
This antibody was prepared by CDR grafting of mouse AUK 12-20 antibody onto a human framework regions.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.

Uniprot Description

IL6R: Part of the receptor for interleukin 6. Binds to IL6 with low affinity, but does not transduce a signal. Signal activation necessitate an association with IL6ST. Activation may lead to the regulation of the immune response, acute-phase reactions and hematopoiesis. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 3 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The IL6R il6r (Catalog #AAA847319) is an Antibody produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-IL-6 receptor (Tocilizumab), Human IgG1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL-6 receptor, IgG1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL6R il6r for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-6 receptor, IgG1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
