Mouse IFN ALPHA Monoclonal Antibody | anti-IFNA3 antibody
MOUSE ANTI CHICKEN INTERFERON ALPHA
The classification of mammalian cytokines with antiviral activity, is well documented as being either Type I Interferon (IFNI) or Type II Interferon (IFNII). This is not the case for avian IFNs however, even though IFN was first detected in the chicken.
A growing number of functional studies indicate similarities between chicken IFN and mammalian IFNI, revealing the conservation of cysteine residues and the existence of around ten closely related intron-less IFN alpha genes. Further research has shown that chIFN-alpha genes are strongly expressed following viral infection of monocyte-derived macrophage and embryo fibroblasts and that recombinant chicken IFN acts as a potent antiviral agent.
This item does not cross react with IFN beta or IFN gamma and does not neutralize chIFN-alpha.

Product Notes
The IFNA3 ifna1 (Catalog #AAA212785) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's IFN ALPHA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 19 kDa. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFNA3 ifna1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFN ALPHA, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
