Mouse Histone H4 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-HIST4H4 antibody
Mouse Anti-Histone H4 (tri methyl K20) [6F8-D9]
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H4 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element. Uniprot Description
H4: histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The gene encoding H4 is intronless.

Product Notes
The HIST4H4 hist1h4a (Catalog #AAA375131) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Anti-Histone H4 (tri methyl K20) [6F8-D9] reacts with Human, Caenorhabditis elegans. Predicted to work with: Xenopus laevis, Arabidopsis thaliana, Fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster), all Mammals and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Histone H4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Dot Blot (DB), Western Blot (WB) against endogenous protein, ELISA (EIA), ChIP. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration, however as a guideline try; WB: Use at 1:4000. Predicted molecular weight: 11 kDa. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HIST4H4 hist1h4a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Histone H4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
