Western Blot (WB) (Figure 1. Western blot analysis of MNX1 using anti-MNX1 antibody (M04520).Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel)/90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions. After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-MNX1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 0.5 ug/mL overnight at 4° C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-Rabbit IgG IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for MNX1. )

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a nuclear protein, which contains a homeobox domain and is a transcription factor. Mutations in this gene result in Currarino syndrome, an autosomic dominant congenital malformation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

Putative transcription factor involved in pancreas development and function.

Product Notes

The HB9/HLXB9 mnx1 (Catalog #AAA1752327) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-HB9/HLXB9 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HB9/HLXB9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IP: 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HB9/HLXB9 mnx1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HB9/HLXB9, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
