Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis of GUCA1A expression in transfected 293T cell line by GUCA1A monoclonal antibody. Lane 1: GUCA1A transfected lysate (22.9kD). Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of GUCA1A over-expressed 293 cell line, cotransfected with GUCA1A Validated Chimera RNAi (Lane 2) or non-transfected control (Lane 1). Blot probed with GUCA1A monoclonal antibody GAPDH (36.1kD) used as specificity and loading control.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an enzyme that plays a role in the recovery of retinal photoreceptors from photobleaching. This enzyme promotes the activity of retinal guanylyl cyclase-1 (GC1) at low calcium concentrations and inhibits GC1 at high calcium concentrations. Mutations in this gene can cause cone dystrophy 3 and code-rod dystrophy 14. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]

Product Notes
The GCAP1 guca1a (Catalog #AAA6136739) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GCAP1 (Guanylyl Cyclase-activating Protein 1, GCAP 1, Guanylate Cyclase Activator 1A, GUCA1A, C6orf131, GCAP, GCAP1, GUCA1) APC reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GCAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GCAP1 guca1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GCAP1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
