Related Product Information for anti-Lpro antibody
Mouse anti Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus Non-Structural Protein 3a antibody, clone 1G2 recognizes the 3a non-structural protein of Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV). Foot-and-mouth disease virus is a nonenveloped icosahedral Aphthovirus that contains single-stranded RNA. Foot-and-mouth disease is a highly contagious and sometimes fatal disease of cattle, pigs and other cloven-hoofed animals. The disease is characterised by high fever and blisters inside the mouth and on the feet. Although it doesn't have a high mortality rate, the disease has debilitating effects, including weight loss and decrease in milk production, resulting in detrimental economic ramifications. The virus is spread through direct contact. The non-structural proteins are necessary for viral replication and as such mutations in this area are probably less well tolerated than in the rest of the genome. Non-structural proteins have been targeted as possible targets to distinguish between infected and vaccinated animals.

Uniprot Description

The leader protease autocatalytically cleaves itself from the polyprotein at the L/VP0 junction. It cleaves the host translation initiation factors EIF4G1 and EIF4G3, in order to shut down the capped cellular mRNA transcription. Increases translation driven by the viral internal ribosome entry site (IRES).

Product Notes

The FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE VIRUS NON-STRUCTURAL PROTEIN 3a lpro (Catalog #AAA216325) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE VIRUS NON-STRUCTURAL PROTEIN 3a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE VIRUS NON-STRUCTURAL PROTEIN 3a lpro for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE VIRUS NON-STRUCTURAL PROTEIN 3a, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
