Monoclonal
Isotype
IgG1; kappa light chain
Specificity
The antibody is specific for the mouse Flk-1 (VEGFR2/KDR), and does not cross-react with the human VEGFR2/KDR. ELISA data showed that the antibody bound to purified FLK-1:SEAP but not alkaline phosphatase or other receptor tyrosine kinases such as Flk-2. Treatment with the antibody completely inhibits the growth of established epidermoid, glioblastoma, pancreatic, and renal human tumor xenografts by suppression of tumor-induced neovascularization.

Uniprot Description

VEGFR2: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the VEGFR family. High affinity receptor for VEGF and VEGF-C. Ligand binding induces autophosphorylation and activation. Activated receptor recruits proteins including Shc, GRB2, PI3K, Nck, SHP-1 and SHP-2. Plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability.

Product Notes

The Flk-1 kdr (Catalog #AAA418467) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-mouse Flk-1 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Flk-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
