Feline calicivirus (FCV) is a virus of the family Caliciviridae that causes disease in cats. It is one of the two important viral causes of respiratory infection in cats, the other being feline herpesvirus. FCV can be isolated from about 50 percent of cats with upper respiratory infection. The Feline Calicivirus (Catalog #AAA600584) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Feline Calicivirus can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Other applications not tested. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Note: Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Recommended Pair: MBS600584 Feline Calcivirus (FCV) MBS601587 Feline Calcivirus (FCV) (Biotin) Recommended Secondary Antibodies: MBS620262 IgG, F(ab')2 (HRP) Pab Rb xMo MBS619529 IgG, F(ab')2 X-adsorbed (HRP) Pab Rb xMo. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Feline Calicivirus for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Feline Calicivirus, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
