Related Product Information for anti-FCER1A antibody
High affinity IgE receptor (FceRI) plays a key role in IgE-mediated allergic immune response. FceRI is a tetrameric receptor complex, which is composed of one a-subunit (FceRIa), one B-subunit, and two y-subunits. FceRIa directly binds IgE with high affinity, while the B- and y-chains are responsible for mediating intracellular signals. FceRIa is a 50kD transmembrane protein with Ig superfamily structure. It is primarily found on mast cells and basophils. Further studies have indicated that FceRIa is also expressed on many inflammatory cells including cutaneuos Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, monocytes of patients with allergic disorders, platelets, bronchial epithelial cells, eosinophils produced in hypereosinophilic syndrome, and neutrophils from allergy-induced asthma patients.

high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit alpha

NCBI Description

The immunoglobulin epsilon receptor (IgE receptor) is the initiator of the allergic response. When two or more high-affinity IgE receptors are brought together by allergen-bound IgE molecules, mediators such as histamine that are responsible for allergy symptoms are released. This receptor is comprised of an alpha subunit, a beta subunit, and two gamma subunits. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Product Notes

The FCER1A (Catalog #AAA6131273) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FCER1A (High Affinity Immunoglobulin epsilon Receptor Subunit alpha, Fc-epsilon RI-alpha, FcERI, IgE Fc Receptor Subunit alpha, FCE1A) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FCER1A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FCER1A for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FCER1A, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
