Mouse anti-Human EAAC1 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-SLC1A1 antibody
EAAC1 Antibody: Alkaline Phosphatase
Scientific Background: SLC1A1/EAAT3/EAAC1, a member of this transporter family, is expressed throughout the body, particularly in brain, intestine, liver, heart and kidney. Functional defects of the SLC1A1 gene are found in patients of dicarboxylicamino aciduria.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the high-affinity glutamate transporters that play an essential role in transporting glutamate across plasma membranes. In brain, these transporters are crucial in terminating the postsynaptic action of the neurotransmitter glutamate, and in maintaining extracellular glutamate concentrations below neurotoxic levels. This transporter also transports aspartate, and mutations in this gene are thought to cause dicarboxylicamino aciduria, also known as glutamate-aspartate transport defect. Uniprot Description
SLC1A1: Transports L-glutamate and also L- and D-aspartate. Essential for terminating the postsynaptic action of glutamate by rapidly removing released glutamate from the synaptic cleft. Acts as a symport by cotransporting sodium. Negatively regulated by ARL6IP5. Belongs to the sodium:dicarboxylate (SDF) symporter (TC 2.A.23) family. SLC1A1 subfamily.

Product Notes
The SLC1A1 slc1a1 (Catalog #AAA800775) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EAAC1 Antibody: Alkaline Phosphatase reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EAAC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP). 1:1000 (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLC1A1 slc1a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EAAC1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
