Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized antibody can be kept at 4 degree C for up to 3 months and should be kept at-20 degree C for long-term storage.
To avoid freeze-thaw cycles, reconstituted antibody should be aliquoted before freezing for short-term storage (-20 degree C) or for long-term storage (-80 degree C).
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Related Product Information for anti-DSCAML antibody
Down syndrome cell adhesion molecule-like protein 1 (DscamL) is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a role in neuronal self-avoidance. It promotes repulsion between specific neuronal processes of either the same cell or the same subtype of cells. DscamL mediates both isoneuronal self-avoidance for creating an orderly neurite arborization in retinal rod bipolar cells and heteroneuronal self-avoidance to maintain mosaic spacing between all amacrine cells. DscamL has been detected in heart, liver, pancreas, skeletal muscle, kidney and brain.

Product Notes

The DSCAML (Catalog #AAA588136) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Down Syndrome Cell Adhesion Molecule-like Protein 1 (DSCAML) Antibody (DS1-96) reacts with Chicken, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Down Syndrome Cell Adhesion Molecule-like Protein 1 (DSCAML) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). If reconstituted in 200 muL: IHC: 1:10-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DSCAML for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Down Syndrome Cell Adhesion Molecule-like Protein 1 (DSCAML), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
