Related Product Information for anti-dgkA antibody
Diacylglycerol kinase alpha is an enzyme that in Humans is encoded by the DGKA gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It acts as a modulator that competes with protein kinase C for the second messenger diacylglycerol in intracellular signaling pathways. It also plays an important role in the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and phosphorylating diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and four transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. Tissue specificity: lymphocytes and oligodendroglial cells. Diacylglycerol kinases are involved in cell signaling, either as regulators of diacylglycerol levels or as intracellular signal-geneRating enzymes.

Product Notes

The dgkA (Catalog #AAA570271) is an Antibody produced from Mouse (Balb/c) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti DGKa reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DGKa can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). M8 is useful for immunoprecipitation and western blot. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titRation. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the dgkA for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DGKa, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
