Related Product Information for anti-CXCR3 antibody
CXCR3 is a cell surface chemokine receptor that belongs to the family of G protein linked, seven transmembrane domain containing receptors. With the cloning of this molecule, it was identified as the specific receptor for two CXC chemokines: gamma interferon induced protein and monokine induced by interferon gamma (1). The CXCR3 receptors appear to have affinity for CXC chemokines that do not contain the conserved ELR motif at their amino terminus and as a result IL-8 and platelet factor 4 (PF4) do not bind to this receptor (2). CXCR3 shares approximately 40% amino acid homology with the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors, and approximately 35% homology with the first five CCR receptors (1). Even though the two ligands for CXCR3 belong to the alpha chemokine family, IP-10 and MIG are the first chemokines to target lymphocytes (1-3). CXCR3 molecules were also found by mRNA expression on activated T cells, B cells and NK cells, but not on monocytes, resting T cells or neutrophils (1,4). Of clinical interest is the demonstration of CXCR3 expression on cells from B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemias and splenic marginal zone lymphomas (5).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor with selectivity for three chemokines, termed CXCL9/Mig (monokine induced by interferon-g), CXCL10/IP10 (interferon-g-inducible 10 kDa protein) and CXCL11/I-TAC (interferon-inducible T cell a-chemoattractant). Binding of chemokines to this protein induces cellular responses that are involved in leukocyte traffic, most notably integrin activation, cytoskeletal changes and chemotactic migration. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. One of the isoforms (CXCR3-B) shows high affinity binding to chemokine, CXCL4/PF4 (PMID:12782716). Product Notes

The CXCR3 cxcr3 (Catalog #AAA601531) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CXCR3 (CD183) (Carboxyfluorescein) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CXCR3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul/10e5 cells to detect human CXCR3. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CXCR3 cxcr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CXCR3, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
