NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the homeodomain family of DNA binding proteins. It may regulate gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation and it may also play a role in the cell cycle progession. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Uniprot Description
CUTL1 iso1: Probably has a broad role in mammalian development as a repressor of developmentally regulated gene expression. May act by preventing binding of positively-activing CCAAT factors to promoters. Component of nf-munr repressor; binds to the matrix attachment regions (MARs) (5' and 3') of the immunoglobulin heavy chain enhancer. Represses T-cell receptor (TCR) beta enhancer function by binding to MARbeta, an ATC-rich DNA sequence located upstream of the TCR beta enhancer. Belongs to the CUT homeobox family. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The CUX1 cux1 (Catalog #AAA246172) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal [clone 2A10] (IgG1,k) to Human CUX1 / CASP reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CUX1 / CASP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). ELISA, IF (10 ug/ml), IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB Usage: Immunofluorescence (10 ug/ml) - positive control HeLa cells. Sandwich ELISA (Recombinant protein). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CUX1 cux1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CUX1 / CASP, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
