NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Casein kinase II is a serine/threonine protein kinase that phosphorylates acidic proteins such as casein. It is involved in various cellular processes, including cell cycle control, apoptosis, and circadian rhythm. The kinase exists as a tetramer and is composed of an alpha, an alpha-prime, and two beta subunits. The alpha subunits contain the catalytic activity while the beta subunits undergo autophosphorylation. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit. While this gene is found on chromosome 20, a related transcribed pseudogene is found on chromosome 11. Three transcript variants encoding two different proteins have been found for this gene. Product Notes
The CSNK2A1 (Catalog #AAA6141383) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CSNK2A1 (Casein Kinase II Subunit alpha, CK II alpha, CK2A1) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CSNK2A1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). IF: 10ug/ml Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CSNK2A1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CSNK2A1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
