Mouse anti-Human CEA Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CEA antibody
CEA antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family whose members are glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol (GPI) anchored cell surface glycoproteins. Members of this family play a role in cell adhesion and are widely used as tumor markers in serum immunoassay determinations of carcinoma. This gene affects the sensitivity of tumor cells to adenovirus infection. The protein encoded by this gene acts as a receptor for adherent-invasive E. coli adhesion to the surface of ileal epithelial cells in patients with Crohn's disease. This gene is clustered with genes and pseudogenes of the cell adhesion molecules subgroup of the CEA family on chromosome 19. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]

Product Notes
The CEA ceacam6 (Catalog #AAA531758) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CEA antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CEA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CEA ceacam6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CEA, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
