Testing Data

(Proximity Ligation Analysis (PLA) of protein-protein interactions between CD86 and CD80. HeLa cells were stained with CD86 rabbit purified polyclonal 1:1200 and CD80 mouse monoclonal antibody 1:50. Signals were detected by 30 Detection Kit 613 (red), and nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). Each red dot represents the detection of protein-protein interaction complex.)

Related Product Information for anti-CD80 antibody
CD80 is a 60kD single chain type I glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, also known as B7-1, B7, and BB1. CD80 is expressed on activated B and T cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. CD80 binds to CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). Along with CD86, CD80 plays a critical role in regulation of T cell activation. The interaction of CD80 with CD28 provides a potent co-stimulatory signal for T cell activation through the CD3 complex, while its interaction with CTLA-4 provides inhibitory signal for T cell activation.

NCBI Protein Information
T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD80

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor that is activated by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4. The activated protein induces T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. This protein can act as a receptor for adenovirus subgroup B and may play a role in lupus neuropathy. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Product Notes

The CD80 (Catalog #AAA6135776) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD80 (T-lymphocyte Activation Antigen CD80, Activation B7-1 Antigen, BB1, CTLA-4 Counter-receptor B7.1, B7, CD28LG, CD28LG1, LAB7) APC reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD80 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD80 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD80, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
