Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Related Product Information for anti-CD79b antibody
Hamster anti Mouse CD79b antibody, clone HM79-11 recognizes murine CD79 beta, which is expressed by B cells as part of the B cell receptor complex (immunoglobulin and the CD79 alpha/beta heterodimer). Murine CD79 beta is expressed at the cell surface of pro-B cells prior to surface immunoglobulin, and is expressed throughout B cell differentiation. CD79 beta is a B cell specific marker, valuable for the detection of B cells at all maturation stages.

Uniprot Description

Ig-beta: Required in cooperation with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR) which leads to internalization of the complex, trafficking to late endosomes and antigen presentation. Enhances phosphorylation of CD79A, possibly by recruiting kinases which phosphorylate CD79A or by recruiting proteins which bind to CD79A and protect it from dephosphorylation. Defects in CD79B are the cause of agammaglobulinemia type 6 (AGM6). It is a primary immunodeficiency characterized by profoundly low or absent serum antibodies and low or absent circulating B-cells due to an early block of B-cell development. Affected individuals develop severe infections in the first years of life. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CD79b cd79b (Catalog #AAA210775) is an Antibody produced from Hamster and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD79b can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR. Flow Cytometry: Maximum Dilution: Neat. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD79b cd79b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD79b, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
