Related Product Information for anti-CD49c antibody
Mouse anti Human CD49c antibody, clone P1B5 recognizes CD49c, a 150kD cell surface antigen which is also known as the alpha-3 integrin and as VLA-3. CD49c is very weakly expressed on peripheral blood leucocytes and is not found on platelets. Epithelial cells and endothelial cells express significant levels of CD49c.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of integrins. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain, and function as cell surface adhesion molecules. This gene encodes alpha 3 subunit, which undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain to yield disulfide-linked light and heavy chains that join with beta 1 subunit to form an integrin that interacts with many extracellular-matrix proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Uniprot Description

ITGA3: an integral membrane protein that heterodimerizes with a beta chain, forming a receptor for many extracellular-matrix proteins including fibronectin, laminin, collagen, epiligrin and thrombospondin. Undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain to yield disulfide-linked light and heavy chains that join with beta 1. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CD49c itga3 (Catalog #AAA224700) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CD49c can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF). Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD49c itga3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD49c, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
