Mouse anti-Feline CD4 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CD4 antibody
Mouse Anti-Feline CD4-FITC
Feline CD4, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed on the "helper/inducer" subpopulation of peripheral T lymphocytes. It is present on approximately 55% of thymocytes, 15% of splenocytes, 40% of lymph node cells, and 25% of peripheral blood lymphocytes.1-3 CD4 functions as an accessory molecule in the recognition of foreign antigens in association with MHC Class II antigens by T cells.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
Protect conjugated forms from light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a membrane glycoprotein of T lymphocytes that interacts with major histocompatibility complex class II antigenes and is also a receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus. This gene is expressed not only in T lymphocytes, but also in B cells, macrophages, and granulocytes. It is also expressed in specific regions of the brain. The protein functions to initiate or augment the early phase of T-cell activation, and may function as an important mediator of indirect neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated diseases of the central nervous system. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description
CD4: Accessory protein for MHC class-II antigen/T-cell receptor interaction. May regulate T-cell activation. Induces the aggregation of lipid rafts. Associates with LCK. Binds to HIV-1 gp120 and to P4HB/PDI and upon HIV-1 binding to the cell membrane, is part of P4HB/PDI- CD4-CXCR4-gp120 complex. Interacts with HIV-1 Envelope polyprotein gp160 and protein Vpu. Interacts with Human Herpes virus 7 capsid proteins. Interacts with PTK2/FAK1; this interaction requires the presence of HIV-1 gp120.

Product Notes
The CD4 cd4 (Catalog #AAA673858) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Anti-Feline CD4-FITC reacts with Feline and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry; Immunohistochemistry (Acetone Fixed/Frozen Sections); Immunoprecipitation. Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: <= 1 ug/10^6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD4 cd4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
