Related Product Information for anti-CD28 antibody
Human CD28 is an important co-stimulatory molecule found on all CD4+ T cells and ~50% of CD8+ T cells. T cell activities attributed to CD28 include prevention of anergy, induction of cytokine gene transcription, stabilization of cytokine mRNA, and activation of CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes. The ligands for CD28, known as CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2), are monomeric transmembrane glycoproteins.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is essential for T-cell proliferation and survival, cytokine production, and T-helper type-2 development. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

Uniprot Description

CD28: a type I plasma membrane protein Involved in T-cell activation, the induction of cell proliferation and cytokine production and promotion of T-cell survival. Binds to B7-1 and -2. Expressed in T cells and plasma cells, but not in less mature B cells. Six splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The CD28 cd28 (Catalog #AAA3014184) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Human CD28 (3G5E) Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD28 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Frozen, Immunoprecipitation (IP), T Cell Co-stimulation. FC/FACS: 5 ug/ml IHC-Fr: User-optimized IP: User-optimized T cell Co-stimulation: User-optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD28 cd28 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD28, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
