Biological Significance
CD23, also known as Fc epsilon RII, or FceRII, is the "low-affinity" receptor for IgE, an antibody isotype involved in allergy and resistance to parasites, and is important in regulation of IgE levels. Unlike many of the antibody receptors, CD23 is a C-type lectin. It is found on mature B cells, activated macrophages, eosinophils, follicular dendritic cells, and platelets. There are two forms of CD23: CD23a and CD23b. CD23a is present on follicular B cells, whereas CD23b requires IL-4 to be expressed on T-cells, monocytes, Langerhans cells, eosinophils, and macrophages.
Immunogen
CD23 antibody was raised in rat using CD23 low affinity IgE Fc receptor as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C.

Product Notes

The CD23 fcer2 (Catalog #AAA532357) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD23 antibody reacts with Murine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD23 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD23 fcer2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD23, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
