Related Product Information for anti-CD22 antibody
CD22, also known as Siglec-2 (sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin-2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein binding alpha2,6-linked sialic acid-bearing ligands. Intracellular domain of CD22 recruits protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1 through the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs), thus setting a treshold for B cell receptor-mediated activation. CD22 also regulates B-cell response by involvement in controlling the CD19/CD21-Src-family protein tyrosine kinase amplification pathway and CD40 signaling. CD22 exhibits hallmarks of clathrin-mediated endocytic pathway.

Uniprot Description

CD22: Mediates B-cell B-cell interactions. May be involved in the localization of B-cells in lymphoid tissues. Binds sialylated glycoproteins; one of which is CD45. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site can be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. Upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation in the immune response seems to be involved in regulation of B-cell antigen receptor signaling. Plays a role in positive regulation through interaction with Src family tyrosine kinases and may also act as an inhibitory receptor by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatases via their SH2 domains that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CD22 cd22 (Catalog #AAA1801914) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Hu CD22 PE reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD22 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (QC tested). FC/FACS: The reagent is designed for analysis of human blood cells using 10ul reagent/100ul of whole blood or 106 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (1 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests. Extracellular and intracellular staining. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD22 cd22 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD22, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
