NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor contributes to the clonal expansion, survival, and development of T cells. It can also induce proliferation in peripheral monocytes, enhance T cell apoptosis induced by TCR/CD3 triggered activation, and regulate CD28 co-stimulation to promote Th1 cell responses. The expression of this receptor is induced by lymphocyte activation. TRAF adaptor proteins have been shown to bind to this receptor and transduce the signals leading to activation of NF-kappaB. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Receptor for TNFSF9/4-1BBL. Possibly active during T cell activation.

Product Notes
The CD137 tnfrsf9 (Catalog #AAA669040) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Monoclonal Antibody to CD137 (Clone: ABM3D3.2E8) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD137 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FACS, Western Blot (WB). Western blot analysis: 4-6 ug/ml Immunohistochemical Analysis: 2-4 ug/ml Facs anaysis: 1-2 ug/10^6 Cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD137 tnfrsf9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD137, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
