Related Product Information for anti-CD132 antibody
CD132 is a 64-70 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the Ig superfamily, and is also known as common gamma chain (gammac) or IL-2 receptor gamma subunit. It is expressed broadly on T- and B-lymphocytes, NK cells, monocytes, and granulocytes. CD132 is an essential component of cytokine receptors for IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21. Ligand binding induces tyrosine phosphorylation and initiates signaling through a JAK/STAT pathway. CD132 mutation results in X-linked severe combined immune deficiency (XSCID).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transmembrane protein that is a common subunit of several interleukin receptor complexes. These receptors are comprised of alpha and beta subunits in addition to this gamma subunit. Signalling through this pathway in important in immune cell differentiation and function. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2015]

Uniprot Description

Common subunit for the receptors for a variety of interleukins.

Product Notes

The CD132 il2rg (Catalog #AAA2553775) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Purified Anti-Mouse CD132 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD132 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is <=2.0 ug per 10e6 cells in 100 ul volume or 100 ul of whole blood. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD132 il2rg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD132, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
