Mouse anti-Human CD131 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CD131 antibody
Anti-CD131 [BION-1], Rabbit IgG, Kappa
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Immunofluorescence staining of U937 cells using anti-CD131 antibody at 10ug/ml followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with anti-Fluorescein antibody followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow-cytometry using the Anti-CD131 antibody BION-1 or the rabbit IgG version of BION-1 ( at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-rabbit IgG AlexaFluor 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.)
Recombinant monoclonal antibody to CD131. Manufactured using our Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma BION-1.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is the common beta chain of the high affinity receptor for IL-3, IL-5 and CSF. Defects in this gene have been reported to be associated with protein alveolar proteinosis (PAP). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CSF2RB: a common beta chain of the high affinity receptor for IL-3, IL-5 and CSF. A type I cytokine family of receptor. Defects are a cause of congenital pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP) [MIM:265120]. PAP is an autosomal recessive fatal respiratory disease.

Product Notes
The CD131 csf2rb (Catalog #AAA488509) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CD131 [BION-1], Rabbit IgG, Kappa reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD131 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL), Crystallisation, Functional Studies, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). BION-1 has been shown the block eosinophil production, survival, and activation stimulated by IL-5 as well as by GM-CSF and IL-3, thereby influencing inflammation (Sun 1999). Further, BION-1 has been used in immunohistochemistry experiments in order to examine the presence of GM-CSF-receptor protein in human 8-cell embryos and blastocysts (Sjoblom 2002). In addition, a fab fragment derived from BION-1 has been used in the crystallisation of the common beta-chain to analyse the structure of the activation domain of the GM-CSF/IL-3/IL-5 receptor (Rossjohn 200). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD131 csf2rb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD131, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
