Related Product Information for anti-CD123 antibody
CD123 is the alpha chain of interleukin 3 receptor (IL-3R alpha). This subunit heterodimerizes with the interleukin 3 receptor beta chain (CD131), which is shared with other receptors. CD123 interacts with IL-3 specifically, but with low affinity, and association with the beta subunit confers high affinity binding to the receptor heterodimer. Both chains are required for signaling, but receptor activation and signal transduction depend on IL-3 binding to CD123 as the initial step.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an interleukin 3 specific subunit of a heterodimeric cytokine receptor. The receptor is comprised of a ligand specific alpha subunit and a signal transducing beta subunit shared by the receptors for interleukin 3 (IL3), colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2/GM-CSF), and interleukin 5 (IL5). The binding of this protein to IL3 depends on the beta subunit. The beta subunit is activated by the ligand binding, and is required for the biological activities of IL3. This gene and the gene encoding the colony stimulating factor 2 receptor alpha chain (CSF2RA) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a X-Y pseudoautosomal region on chromosomes X or Y. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]

Uniprot Description

IL3RA: This is a receptor for interleukin-3. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 5 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22.3 or Yp11.3

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: interleukin-3 receptor activity

Product Notes

The CD123 il3ra (Catalog #AAA1800279) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Hu CD123 APC reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD123 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). FC/FACS: QC tested. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD123 il3ra for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD123, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
