Human CD11a (LFA-1 alpha)
CD11a, also known as leukocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1 alpha), represents the 180 kDa integrin alpha L subunit which combines with the CD18 beta 2 integrin subunit to form the alpha L beta 2 integrin heterodimer. It is expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages and is upregulated on activated T cells. CD11a/LFA-1 alpha mediates adhesion of lymphocytes to vascular endothelium and is involved in costimulation.1-5
Form/Format
Fluorescein (FITC) Conjugate
Applicable Applications for anti-CD11a (LFA-1 alpha) antibody
Flow Cytometry; Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections); Immunoprecipitation
Application Notes
Research Application(s): Studies in cell adhesion and cytotoxicity
Immunoprecipitation
Blocking studies

Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: 10 uL/10^6 cells
Characterization
To insure lot to lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by flow cytometry to conform with the characteristics of a standard reference reagent.

The CD11a (LFA-1 alpha) (Catalog #AAA674104) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Anti-Human CD11a/LFA-1a-FITC reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD11a (LFA-1 alpha) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry; Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections); Immunoprecipitation. Research Application(s): Studies in cell adhesion and cytotoxicity Immunoprecipitation Blocking studies Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: 10 uL/10^6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD11a (LFA-1 alpha) for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD11a (LFA-1 alpha), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
