NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
ITGAL: Integrin alpha-L/beta-2 is a receptor for ICAM1, ICAM2, ICAM3 and ICAM4. It is involved in a variety of immune phenomena including leukocyte-endothelial cell interaction, cytotoxic T-cell mediated killing, and antibody dependent killing by granulocytes and monocytes. Belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Cell surface; Cell adhesion
Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; integral to membrane; immunological synapse; intercellular junction; integrin complex; external side of plasma membrane
Molecular Function: protein heterodimerization activity; metal ion binding; protein complex binding; ICAM-3 receptor activity; cell adhesion molecule binding

Product Notes
The CD11a itgal (Catalog #AAA2556849) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Mouse CD11a Monoclonal Antibody (PerCP/Cy5.5 Conjugated) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD11a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD11a itgal for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD11a, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
