NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Integrins are heterodimers comprised of alpha and beta subunits, that are noncovalently associated transmembrane glycoprotein receptors. Different combinations of alpha and beta polypeptides form complexes that vary in their ligand-binding specificities. Integrins mediate cell-matrix or cell-cell adhesion, and transduced signals that regulate gene expression and cell growth. This gene encodes the integrin beta 4 subunit, a receptor for the laminins. This subunit tends to associate with alpha 6 subunit and is likely to play a pivotal role in the biology of invasive carcinoma. Mutations in this gene are associated with epidermolysis bullosa with pyloric atresia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. Product Notes
The ITGB4 itgb4 (Catalog #AAA438251) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD104 (Integrin Beta-4) reacts with Human. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD104 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Biological Blockade, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistology (IH). Biological Blockade (Partially blocks laminin binding) (Order Ab without Azide); ELISA (For coating, order Ab without BSA); Flow Cytometry (0.5-1ug/million cells); Immunofluorescence (0.5-1ug/ml); Western Blotting (0.5-1ug/ml); Immunoprecipitation (0.5-1ug/500ug protein lysate); Immunohistology (Frozen) (0.5-1ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ITGB4 itgb4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD104, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
