NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the beta chemokine receptor family. It is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein-coupled receptors. Chemokines and their receptors are key regulators of the thymocytes migration and maturation in normal and inflammation conditions. The specific ligand of this receptor is CCL25. It has been found that this gene is differentially expressed by T lymphocytes of small intestine and colon, suggested a role in the thymocytes recruitment and development that may permit functional specialization of immune responses in different segment of the gastrointestinal tract. This gene is mapped to the chemokine receptor gene cluster region. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

CCR9: Receptor for chemokine SCYA25/TECK. Subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Alternative coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21.3

Cellular Component: cell surface; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: C-C chemokine receptor activity; chemokine receptor activity

Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; cellular defense response; immune response; chemotaxis

Product Notes

The CCR9 ccr9 (Catalog #AAA607361) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCR9 (C-C chemokine receptor type 9, CC-CKR-9, C-C CKR-9, CCR-9, CDw199, GPR28, GPR-9-6, G-protein coupled receptor 28) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCR9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCR9 ccr9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCR9, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
