ELISA: 1:50,000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 on 4% paraformaldehyde or 1% paraformaldehyde/4% glutaraldehyde fixed tissue.
Immunocytochemistry: 1:100
Immunoprecipitation: (small unit, in the presence of calcium large & small complex).
Immunogen
Bovine myocardial mu-calpain
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-Capns1 antibody
Calpains are cytosolic, calcium-dependent, cysteine proteases that are ubiquitously expressed in mammalian and avian tissues. Type I Calpain requires micromolar amounts of calcium, while type II calpain requires millimolar amounts of calcium.

Product Notes

The Capns1 capns1 (Catalog #AAA602020) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Calpain Small Subunit (Mu Calpain) reacts with Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Calpain Small Subunit can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1000. Recognizes the 30kD small subunits of either calpain isozyme. ELISA: 1:50,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 on 4% paraformaldehyde or 1% paraformaldehyde/4% glutaraldehyde fixed tissue. Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 Immunoprecipitation: (small unit, in the presence of calcium large & small complex). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Capns1 capns1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calpain Small Subunit, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
