Mouse anti-Human BID Monoclonal Antibody | anti-BID antibody
BID (BH3-interacting Domain Death Agonist, p22 BID) (AP)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis of BID expression in transfected 293T cell line by BID monoclonal antibody. Lane 1: BID transfected lysate (22kD). Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.)
Testing Data
(Proximity Ligation Analysis (PLA) of protein-protein interactions between FADD and BID. HeLa cells were stained with FADD rabbit purified polyclonal 1:1200 and BID mouse monoclonal antibody 1:50. Signals were detected by 30 Detection Kit 613 (red), and nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). Each red dot represents the detection of protein-protein interaction complex.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a death agonist that heterodimerizes with either agonist BAX or antagonist BCL2. The encoded protein is a member of the BCL-2 family of cell death regulators. It is a mediator of mitochondrial damage induced by caspase-8 (CASP8); CASP8 cleaves this encoded protein, and the COOH-terminal part translocates to mitochondria where it triggers cytochrome c release. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The BID (Catalog #AAA6130219) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BID (BH3-interacting Domain Death Agonist, p22 BID) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BID can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BID for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BID, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
