Related Product Information for anti-Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor Antigen antibody
Anthrax toxin produced by Bacillus anthracis is composed of three proteins: Protective Antigen (PA), Edema Factor (EF), and Lethal Factor (LF). Toxicity requires the assembly of all three of these proteins, and this process is initiated when PA binds to the cell surface ATR (anthrax toxin receptor). After binding, PA is enzymaticaly cleaved to yield a 63 kD fragment which then binds EF and LF, and the complex is internalized. LF is a protease and cleaves enzymes of the MAPKK (mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase) family.

Product Notes

The Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor Antigen (Catalog #AAA190055) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor Antigen can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Immunoblot. Immunoblotting: use at 5 ug/ml. Sandwich ELISA: use coating antibody at 5 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor Antigen for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bacillus anthracis Lethal Factor Antigen, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
